About 9x

9x is a Berlin-based agency specialized in business operations automation. We use no-code platforms to automate internal workflows and build custom tools. We also run trainings where we teach business operators how to leverage the power of automation in their company.

What you will do

You role is to build applications, workflows and internal tools or our clients. Among other things you will:

  • Develop an automation-first mindset: you will learn how to identify automation opportunities and design concrete solutions by combining web technologies
  • Build automations and internal tools using e.g. Airtable and Make: you will help us build these from first call to final delivery. We currently do everything in-house: product scoping, design, app development, QA, maintenance..., and we’d like to involve you in all aspects.
  • Learn to write some code when needed: sometimes no-code problems can be easily solved with a bit of code - JavaScript, HTML, CSS or SQL. We’ll show you when and how to do that
  • Create high quality documentation: you will help us create documentation materials for our clients and internal processes.

What we’re looking for

You’re the ideal candidate if you are...

  • ...a problem-solver: when faced with a challenge, you are excited about solving it
  • ...a builder: you love creating things, whether it’s an app, a project, or art
  • ...an owner: you own your results, no matter how good or bad, and expect the same from others
  • ...a continuous-learner: you’re a curious person who likes to explore new fields of technology and genuinely enjoys learning new skills
  • ...and a true web technologies enthusiast.

But most importantly, you are no less than a great person to work with. For us that means, among others: setting high standards for yourself; being honest and vulnerable; having a spirit of service towards others and bringing your warm, funny and sometimes weird personality every day at work.

What is waiting for you

This role is a unique opportunity to become proficient in multiple no-code platforms and get a transversal view about how no-code can be applied to solve business challenges. This is what you’ll get:

  • Learn from no-code experts how to harness the state of the art no-code tools and low-code languages
  • Full access to our educational content, which covers everything a no-code builder should know about
  • Weekly 1-1s to check-in on your progress and give you feedback to grow

Q&A

Can I work remote?

This position requires you to be located in Berlin. We’d like to have you work with us as much as possible as we have a lot of information to transmit, which cannot always be documented.

Who can apply?

Anyone can apply. We don’t really care about your field of study or which school you went to since they probably haven’t taught you the skills needed for this job.

If you feel like this internship is for you, it may well be. Apply.

What makes a great application?

A great application should demonstrate that you have the traits we are looking for (see section What we are looking for) through your past experiences, hobbies and passions, and throughout the whole application process.

What’s the application process?

There are 3 rounds:

  • Round 1 - Application form: fill in the following application form. We will review your application within 2 weeks and invite selected candidates to the next round of interview.
  • Round 2 - Interview: a 30-minute interview where the goal for us is to get to know you better, understand your motivation and get a sense of whether we could work with you.
  • Round 3 - Building challenge: in this last round you are asked to prepare a small build, and showcase it to us.

We're looking forward to your application!
