Logistics Management Graduate Programme 2024

Are you ready to take on Logistics?

Next is one of the biggest and best known online and high street Retailers in the UK.  At the heart of our operation we have a state of the art Warehousing and Logistics business employing more than 9,000 people across our network, with ambitious growth plans for 2023 and beyond.

Here at Next Distribution we thrive by constantly adapting and innovating to meet the growth in demand for our online operations which serves over 5 million global customers across more than 70 countries.

Life at Next is fast-paced, varied and challenging and takes a large, talented and efficient operation to keep our 500+ retail stores stocked, deliver our worldwide online offer and strengthen the growing partnerships with over 1,000 brands and the third party customers using the Next’s Total Platform.

You’ll be joining a business which pushes boundaries and pioneers the way. A  lot has changed here at  Next over the last four decades. One thing that has remained constant is our strong people culture, built around a solid set of company values.

Let’s take it on!

We are looking for the next generation of leaders within our distribution network and are relaunching our Graduate programme for 2024!

Our Graduate scheme will introduce you to the exciting opportunities a career at Next has to offer.  From Picking to Projects, you will be immersed in the world of Next and our partner brands.

Joining us in September 2024, you will spend your time working in our warehousing complexes across South and West Yorkshire, learning about all things Next Distribution.  Throughout the 2 year programme you will be based at Elmsall or Dearne but will rotate through placements and masterclasses in various areas of the business whilst embarking on our bespoke Future Leaders course.  Following time spent in other departments such as  Productivity, Maintenance, Health & Safety and Workflow, you will be leading your own team and completing a process improvement project.

The hope is you will progress into a  position as one of our Assistant site Managers or similar level role following completion of the programme.

About you:

The title of your degree doesn’t really matter; what’s important is that you are on track for a 2.1 or have a 2:1 which you completed in the last 3 years and you’re enthusiastic to begin your career within warehousing and logistics.

We ask that you are located within commuting distance of our South Elmsall complex (or can relocate here).  However, you will be expected to travel to our other South & West Yorkshire warehouses and Regional Service Centres throughout the UK, working a variety of shift patterns which cover our 24/7 operations to experience different areas of the business.

As a confident communicator, you will be comfortable building relationships with the colleagues you will meet at all levels across the business.  You will enjoy decision making and problem solving, and be keen to try out your University skills in the workplace.
