Front End Developer

Ideal Candidate

Strand Analytica is looking for an intellectually curious and mission-driven individual willing to support our team part-time as a Front End Developer. The candidate should have knowledge building web-based applications with React. This position provides a growth opportunity into a full-time development role.

The candidate must bring the following skill set to our team:

  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
  • Hands on experience using current trends and best practices in front end development, including performance optimisation, accessibility, and usability
  • Ability to convert UI/UX designs into prototypes with excellent interactions
  • Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and workarounds
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the core AWS services
  • Strong communications skills, both in daily interactions with the product team and documentation of the front end codebase
  • Experience with browser-based debugging and performance testing software
  • Ability to monitor application performance and identify and rectify usability issues that arise

Candidates with the following experience are also desirable:

  • Interest in national security and defence 
  • Working in in a dynamic, high risk/high payoff environment or startup experience
