Site Chemist

Salary: £27,000 plus Veolia benefits

Hours: Monday - Friday 7am - 4pm / 8am - 5pm

Location: Green Lane, Stewartby, MK43 9LY.

What will you be doing?

To check and sign appropriate paperwork for incoming loads (e.g. duty of care and consignment notes) and to allocate to appropriate areas
To perform sampling and verification of incoming waste chemicals and raise non-conformance reports as required
To assign disposal routes for all wastes arriving on site
To sort and re-pack chemical laboratory smalls
To re-pack and to bulk chemicals ready for onward recovery / disposal
To organise and prepare waste outputs for onward disposal
To assist the Senior Site Chemist and the Site Manager in the execution of the day to day operations of the site including the supervision of operatives as required

What are we looking for?

Minimum of HNC or Degree qualification in Chemistry or relevant science degree
Ideally possess a full driving licence, held for a minimum of one year
Numerate, literate and computer literate
