Activity Leader

Dusemond have been running Easter and summer camps for international teenagers since 2015, and will be running centres at Rugby School, Cheltenham College, Bedales School, Uppingham School, Goldsmiths University, York Queen Margaret's and Edinburgh Heriot Watt in 2024.

 

Contract lengths can vary from 4 -6 weeks throughout July and August.  You will need to be available for at least the whole of July (flexibility allowed for graduation dates)

We're looking for people to join us as residential Activity Leaders  (2 separate roles), with accommodation and meals included free of charge.

As an Activity Leader, you'll be responsible for:

Energetically leading our international students (aged 10-17) in a programme of on site activities and off site excursions, planning and preparing for sessions and helping to supervise throughout the day.

Airport Transfers: On arrival and departure days you’ll be collecting groups from the airports.

Activities: The biggest part of an Activity Leader’s role is in planning and running the schedule of on-site activities each day. The focus is on fun, varied and engaging activities and our ALs are the people who keep the students energised, positive and happy. You'll be responsible for:

 

Planning and coordinating activities with the team.

Arranging equipment and materials for your activities.

Running activities safely and keeping everyone involved.

Bringing the “fun” to the sessions you run!

Tidying / resetting / locking up spaces you’ve used.

 

Excursions: 2-3 times a week there’ll be an excursion. You’ll lead groups on fun trips to various locations and in doing so you’ll be involved with:

 

Meetings & planning

Packed Lunch Management

Driver Liaison

Executing our guided tours

Managing tickets & entries
