Key Account Manager

Monitoring Laboratories (formally known as the NLS) provides chemical and microbiological analytical services to both the Environment Agency as an internal customer and the external commercial marketplace. Monitoring Laboratories provides a Helpdesk service designed to receive, assign, and resolve all customer queries. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and supervising the Helpdesk team and deal with escalated queries and issues. You will also provide Key Account Management to the wider organisation to deliver complex projects and key activities. You will work closely with other Key Account Managers to run the National charging process for EA work and manage our Service Level Agreement with the customer.

The team 

A team of five Customer Service Advisors support Key Account Managers who are responsible for ensuring that we understand the customers' needs and deliver a service that meets their requirements within agreed key performance indicators.

Experience/skills required

The candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent communication, influencing and customer focus skills. Good organisational skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities are essential. The successful applicant will have a solid grounding in a customer-based role and a prior knowledge of environmental analysis.

The role will initially be home based in a view to potentially working a mix between the Starcross Laboratory and home depending on the individual. This is something that we will be very flexible on to ensure all members of the team can strike a balance that works best for them. A basic security check will be required.
