Lab Technician

As our Lab Technician, you will be an integral support to the Medik8 Formulation function, reporting to the Formulation Manager and working very closely with our dynamic scientists.

You will be based at our brand new Innovation Centre in Aylesbury, where we will have a state-of-the-art skincare suited laboratory. Working with advanced equipment alongside seasoned industry experts, you’ll receive guidance and mentoring to develop your knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities:
 

  • Following QC testing procedures to ensure products are tested promptly and accurately.
  • Assisting the R&D Team with development projects, including formulating and testing multiple products.
  • Add value through improvement of technical knowledge of Medik8 products and the skincare industry.
  • Propose and present new ideas to increase efficiencies.
  • Day-to-day maintenance of the lab including replenishment of consumables and raw materials.
     

The successful candidate will:
 

  • Have experience in Quality Control environment and/ or completed a degree in Chemistry/ Cosmetic Science or similar discipline.
  • Be a strong communicator - both written and verbal.
  • Have a methodical approach to work with excellent attention to detail.
  • Have excellent planning and organisational skills.
