Paediatric Physiotherapist

Role Description

 

This is a full-time or part time hybrid role for a Physiotherapist located in Little Baddow, Chelmsford, with flexibility for some community work. The physiotherapist will be responsible for assessing children's physical abilities and limitations, and developing individualised treatment plans to address a variety of health conditions, injuries or developmental delays. Day-to-day tasks may include working with children and their families to promote full participation in daily activities, monitoring and evaluating progress, and communicating regularly with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care. Additionally, the physiotherapist will contribute to clinical decision-making, supervising and training junior staff when needed. CPD opportuinites availble alongside satelitte clinics in Scotland and potential development in Portugal this year.

 

Qualifications

 

  • A degree in physiotherapy or equivalent
  • Registration and in good standing with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Skilled in assessing and treating children with various health conditions, developmental delays, and disabilities
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based practice and commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex medical information to patients and families, listen to concerns, and establish positive therapeutic relationships
  • The capability to work collaboratively and effectively with multidisciplinary teams, clinicians, and community members
  • The capacity to adapt to changing situations and new challenges with a positive attitude and resilience
  • Passion for working with children with neurological, musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of child development and the ability to translate research-based knowledge into practice
