Fund Analyst - Watson Fleming

An established investment business requires a fund analyst to cover both the fund research and due diligence of long only equity and fixed income fund managers, plus be the expert on the team with regards to data automation and manipulation ( approximately 20% of the time).

THE ROLE:

- Both qualitative and quantitative manager research of long only equity and fixed income fund managers.

-You will research, monitor and source fund managers and their funds globally.

- You will be part of a team of several people and report to and work with high calibre and very experienced fund research professionals.

- About 20% of the time you will be the lead data person on the team and use your skills for data automation to enable the analyst team to focus on the qualitative research of the asset sector and fund managers.

THE PERSON:
- You will have had some exposure to fund research and be able to demonstrate a genuine desire for a career in fund research.

-You will have very strong data analysis skills and some coding skills ( ideally python or SQL).

- Strong and relevant academic qualifications. A desire to do the CFA ( which will be supported).
