Graduate Hydrogeologist or Geoscientist

Due to a steadily increasing workload SLR currently have an opportunity within our Dublin office for an enthusiastic and motivated graduate consultant to join our established Water Team as a Hydrogeologist. Due to SLR’s diverse nature our successful candidate will be given the opportunity to work across multiple disciplines.   

The role

With support from colleagues, your duties and responsibilities will include:

•    Contributing to the preparation of Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIAR) water chapters
•    Undertaking routine groundwater level, groundwater quality and surface water monitoring
•    Installation of groundwater level loggers, data download and analysis
•    Maintaining databases of monitoring data
•    Borehole drilling supervision and geological logging
•    Reviewing, interpreting and reporting the results of routine water monitoring
•    Preparing geological and hydrogeological Conceptual Site Models

Given the nature of our client sites, some working away from home for short periods may be required.

About you 

We are looking for someone with an Earth Sciences or Hydrogeology degree, who is inquisitive, willing to learn and reliable.

We imagine you will also have some or all of the following:

•    Experience of groundwater monitoring and sampling
•    Familiarity of one of the following: ArcGIS / MapInfo / QGIS
•    Graduate membership of appropriate professional organisation
•    Ability to work as part of the wider environmental team to help deliver a range of projects
