Graduate Test Engineer

Role Overview 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Test Engineer to join our Test team within FSP. The successful candidate will learn and develop test techniques and practices to verify expected outcomes and results to help deliver client projects.  

Due to the nature of this role successful candidates will need to undergo security clearance. To be eligible for this role you must have lived in the UK for at least 5 consecutive years. More information on SC Clearance checks can be found here 

Responsibilities 

• Ensure software products are designed correctly and continuously tested throughout the development lifecycle.  
• Run test cases written by the Team Lead and effectively communicate results.  
• Perform exploratory test activities with guidance from the test team.  
• Identify and raise bugs found during test activities, and retest deployed fixes.  
• Assist with deployment smoke tests.  

About you 

• Degree in Computer Science, Computing or similar.  
• Able to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.  
• Quick Learner who can readily adapt to project needs.  
• Possess a strong eye for detail.   
• Good problem-solving skills  
• Good communicator (both verbal and written).  

Knowledge and experience of the following would be advantageous:  

• Experience and/or desire to learn code/scripting languages (JavaScript/C#).  
• Any prior experience of testing methods - manual, regression, functional testing, automation.
