Assistant Accountant - Mark Sattin FS

This is an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join the busy and growing finance team of a public company in the financial services industry. The Accounts Assistant will report directly to the Group Financial Controller. The role will be responsible for providing first class support to the finance team, ensuring that finance tasks are conducted in a professional, accurate and timely manner. This will involve assisting with transaction matters as well as those relating to valuation and reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Process all purchase invoices in a timely manner, ensuring coding and approval of invoices is in accordance with company compliance and control policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for payment runs and ensure the supplier/creditor ledger is updated accordingly.
  • Maintain the archiving records of purchase ledger
  • Process, maintain and ensure the accuracy of the bank account postings
  • Review Company credit card statements and upload for review by relevant card holders
  • Raise and process sales invoices and credit control.
  • Posting accounting journals.
  • Month end reconciliation

Your Profile

  • AAT/ATT/QBE with a minimum of 3 years' experience in an Accounts/ Finance Assistant role
  • Good knowledge of accounting processes.
  • High level of organisation and accuracy
  • Knowledge and understanding of Sage and Business Central/Microsoft Dynamics would be advantageous.
  • Advanced excel skills.
  • Comfortable working in a face paced environment to meet deadlines
  • A proactive approach for installing efficiencies in processes
  • Prior experience in Financial Services and with FX would be advantageous.
