Stantec, along with joint venture partner Ryan Hanley, are excited to have been appointed to the Irish Water Engineering Design Services Framework. The Joint Venture will support Irish Water’s Business Plan objectives up to 2027, which will see a €3.5bn investment in asset delivery across three primary portfolios: Wastewater Capital, Networks and Water Capital.  This exciting portfolio, along with the work done supporting a number of major water frameworks throughout the UK, offers our employees the opportunity to tackle a range of challenging projects.


 

The Opportunity 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Civil Engineer to join our team based in Dublin.

Your day to day working life would comprise working from our new City Centre office on the LUAS red line in the heart of Dublin’s shopping and restaurant districts. We are a busy team, so you’ll be engaged on project work from day one and you will be mentored by more senior team members. You will assist in producing drawings and designs from outline to detailed design and you will have the opportunity to use software such as ArcGIS and ACAD, data manipulation, technical report writing, and specialist design tools. You could support the urban drainage modelling team on various DAP (drainage area plans), support the civil team undertake the design of a number of wastewater treatment plants or support the Nature Positive Infrastructure Team explore and incorporate nature-based solutions including integrated constructed wetlands.

About you:

As an individual, you’ll have a keen interest in the water industry as well as:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • A likeminded engineer interested in sustainable urban drainage and surface water management, pipeline design, wastewater treatment. 
  • A problem solver and not afraid to challenge conventional thinking
  • Eligible to live and work in Ireland at the time you start employment.

Desired but not essential:

  • A Msc in Civil Engineering or Water Engineering related
  • Previous experience via a summer placement or internship.
