Graduate Estimating/Quantity Surveyor

Growing nationwide roofing contractor are expanding their Cheshire Offices, currently seeking a graduate or trainee estimating quantity surveyor to join them. Working within a tight knit team, the candidate will be joining the business as it actively looks to expand offering a great opportunity for development and progression of a long term career.
This position offers a genuine scope for career progression and the chance to join a growing and ambitious business. It is envisaged that the ideal candidate holds a degree in quantity surveying and a full UK driver’s license is essential.
Responsible for
Supporting the production of tenders, budget estimates and cost plans.
Reviewing bid documents, drawings, specifications and other reports.
Applying a good understanding of all components within a tender submission.
Produce Bills of Quantities and/or oversee their production by others.
Manage enquiries and quotations received from supply chain.
Main purpose of job
Supporting the business to deliver projects efficiently, within budget constraints and maintaining a solid working relationships with our clients, designers, supply chain members and other key stakeholders.
Task
- Supporting the production of tenders, budget estimates and cost plans. Applying a good understanding of all components within a tender submission.
- Good understanding of CAD or REVIT for take offs and basic flashing and fabrication schedules.
- Produce bills of quantities and/or oversee their production by others
- Manage new enquiries/quotations received from supply chain. Maintaining good working relations with clients, designers, the supply chain and others.
- Producing project costing projections
- Estimating roofing and cladding projects
- Undertaking design review for VE
- Looking for opportunities to maximise revenue and reduce costs

Position Requirements
Construction Related Degree or HND
Experience using of CAD and Revit
Must be based within commuting distance of Cheshire
Must hold a Full UK driver's license
Experience using Microsoft Office
Professional Manner
Minimum GCSE level English - Writing & Speaking
