As an NPI (New Product Introduction) Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful launch of new products by implementing and maintaining quality control processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues, ensuring that products meet or exceed customer expectations. Your expertise in quality engineering principles and methodologies will be essential in driving continuous improvement and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor and analyse quality metrics and trends to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct risk assessments and failure mode analysis to identify potential quality issues and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Provide guidance and support to manufacturing teams to ensure adherence to quality standards and processes.
  • Define KPIs for NPI activities and manage performance gaps.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in quality engineering methodologies.
  • Perform root cause analysis and lead corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues and improve product performance.
  • Lead key quality meetings to drive routine information disposition and action for successful QMS Deployment.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and implement quality control plans, procedures, and inspection processes to ensure product quality and reliability.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials and components, including conducting supplier audits and implementing supplier quality improvement programs.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.

 

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., AS9100 regulations).
  • Strong knowledge of quality engineering principles, methodologies, and tools (e.g., APQP, Six Sigma).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Experience in conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in using quality management software and tools.
  • Adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
