About the Group 

Springtown currently has approximately 500 equipment toolsets onsite with a dedicated equipment and facilities team of 170 employees focused on sustaining the performance. The focus of this team is to develop a world class, flexible and engaged maintenance team, delivering improved factory performance and reliability.

About the role

You will be working a rotating 12-hours shift pattern. This will include days and nigh working, (working days include: - 4 days on 4 days off, 2 days on 2 days off, 3 days on 3 days off, 2 days on 2 days off. The rota will then repeat.

The role will have the responsibility of maintaining a safe working environment, providing immediate response and efficient resolutions to down-time situations.

You will: 

  • Complete preventative maintenance as scheduled on assigned equipment.
  • Keep the production tools within critical process parameters.
  • Fault-find and return production tools from unplanned downs.
  • Assist with the installation and qualification of production equipment.                  
  • Assist engineering on improvement projects to ensure process capability and reliability of equipment sets to operate within ever tightening process margins.
  • Record detailed and accurate information on work performed via maintenance software in parallel with regular updates to the Equipment Technician Manager.
  • Be involved in cost effective repair of faulty components in-house or ensuring offsite repair by highlighting and returning any non-conforming goods to stores.
  • Comply with health and safety policy and procedures.
  • Be flexible to transfer to any other duties/shift considered necessary to meet the needs of the business.
  • Actively take part and support company business excellence initiatives.

About you: 

  • You will bring a strong technical profile with demonstrated relevant 3 years experience in equipment maintenance, fault-finding, and diagnosis - we are flexible about the industry experience you bring. 
  • You will have a minimum Level 3 mechanical/electrical qualification or recognised apprenticeship.

Desirable:

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
