About the Role:

Our site at Rogerstone Park is a key part of our Meal Solutions division, employing around 1,600 people and producing a huge range of chilled ready meals for major retail customers.

It is a fast paced, dynamic, and supportive environment, making it a great place to work and you will develop an in-depth understanding of our products and processes, as well as gaining experience of working with our biggest customers.

Reporting to the Process Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Driving the successful delivery of new product launches, leading factory trials and, as a crucial link between the concept team and factory operations, managing approved products through the factory development process to full launch.
  • Ensuring all products meet business requirements and are in line with customer expectations and Cods of Practice.
  • Collating trial data and organising post-trial outputs such as microbiological and nutritional testing, customer samples, organoleptic and reheat testing.
  • Producing accurate technical data derived from specification reviews for specification updates and artwork generation, such as nutritional information and allergen data.
  • Attending pre-production and product launches to support the factory production team and ensure a smooth handover from concept to launch.

 

About You:

This role would be ideal for a graduate or somebody with food manufacturing experience looking for a new challenge, and we are keen to hear from anybody with the following skills and experience:

  • Demonstrable knowledge of the fundamentals of food processing, ideally with experience of working in a process or product development role.
  • Preferably qualified to degree level in Food Science or similar, or with at least one year’s relevant experience.
  • Strong communication skills, able to work with colleagues and customers at all levels.
  • Proactive and logical approach, able to manage a busy workload.
  • A team player, able to learn from and support colleagues to achieve business goals.
