Graduate Civil Engineer

We're looking for a Graduate Civil Engineer to join our Transportation team in Exeter.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading construction and infrastructure services company on one of our structured graduate development programmes. These programmes have been designed to provide you with the experiences and tools needed for progression within your chosen career.

Business Area: Kier Transportation

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £29,250 per annum

Starting date: September 2024

What will you be responsible for?

As a Graduate Civil Engineer you'll support the Kier Transportation business in designing, building, and maintaining infrastructure for the road, rail and aviation sectors.

Your day to day will include:

  • Contributing to the successful delivery of the programme of work by assisting with the production of design solutions
  • Developing and designing solutions in accordance with national standards, procedures, and requirements
  • Producing concise scheme documents and reports
  • Complying with relevant health and safety requirements, and ensuring designs/works adhere to these

How does the graduate scheme work?

When you join, you will be enrolled onto our graduate scheme. The programme will take 2 years to complete and has been designed to equip you with the skills you need to excel in your chosen profession and help you achieve professional membership or chartership.

What are we looking for?

We do not have any grade requirements, but we do ask that you have a degree in Civil Engineering

The role of Graduate Civil Engineer is great for you if:

  • You have communication skills written and verbal
  • Are well organised, flexible, and enthusiastic in approach
  • Have the drive to take ownership of projects from inception to completion
  • Hold a full UK driving licence
  • You hold a degree in Civil Engineering

For this role you'll also have to have completed, or due to complete your degree by September 2024.
