Graduate Management Trainee

NCH are hiring an ambitious Graduate Trainee Sales Manager in the North of England (Manchester or Liverpool ideally). If you are looking for a career that offers freedom, flexibility, personal and financial growth while getting top training and mentoring, we would really like to hear from you!
 
This position does not require previous sales experience as you will be enrolled on the Lubricants Global Sales Development programme. We would like to see strong evidence of success in any previous roles/experience and ask that you live in Manchester/Liverpool or surrounding areas. This is a field based sales position and a strong emphasis on new business development will be required - through business-to-business sales in an industrial setting, you will focus on developing and securing long term partnerships with new and existing customers out in the field.

·       Full valid UK driving license and own reliable transportation is an essential requirement for this role

  • This is a field based sales role, and you will visit multiple customers daily at their sites
  • Relationships are critical to success – you must be able to establish and develop excellent relationships with customers
  • Account management - maintain relationships with customers post-sale to ensure customer satisfaction and obtain referrals.
  • Complete and manage all customer orders utilising relevant company technology and in accordance with company policies, procedures and trading standards.
  • Present NCH Europe as a credible and professional supplier of products/services.
  • Maintain knowledge of products and services as well as industry developments.

·       Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal, and comfortable dealing with all levels of organisations both internally and externally

·       No previous industry or sales experience required; however, the ability to show potential for building strong relationships, gaining trust, and influencing others is key

·       Strong work ethic and coachable attitude

·       Must be self-motivated and able to demonstrate a high level of planning, time management, and prioritisation without constant direct oversight

·       While being results-orientated, it is critical to maintain a positive outlook and be able to demonstrate resilience in a sales environment

·       Share an appreciation for constant learning for both personal and team advancement

·       Smart appearance with a high standard of self-presentation and a professional approach.   

·       Ability to work irregular or extended working hours as necessary to fit with customer and business need – you will be expected to be on site with clients as and when needed. 

·       Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications, using tablets and ‘apps’, customer relationship management software and sales order management systems
