Trainee teacher

We are a School-Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) provider, offering exceptional quality and a completely personalised experience to each of our trainees during your one year on-the- job teacher training programme. We also have a range of opportunities available for you in primary and secondary schools across the North West.

You will need permission to work in the UK for the duration of the programme.

To be eligible, you will need:

> An undergraduate degree, generally 2:2 or above, or equivalent.

> A GSCE grade 4/C or above in English and maths, or equivalent.

> Primary trainees will also need a GSCE grade 4/C or above in science, or equivalent.

 

Tuition fees for our Teacher Training programme are £9,250.

Financial support is available through government bursaries, scholarships, and maintenance loans. There will be a limit on the number of salaried places.

Once you have successfully completed your training, and demonstrated what you have learned in the classroom, you will receive qualified teacher status (QTS). This allows you to teach in any school run by a local authority in England.

You will also receive a postgraduate certificate in education (PGCE), an internationally recognised qualification. The PGCE is worth 60 credits towards a master’s degree.
