Legal Costs Trainee

Working with several Solicitor clients, our Legal costs teams deal with a wide range of case types and areas of law. Dealing with the recovery of costs and the technical arguments that arise from drafting the Bill of Costs, negotiating the correct amount for our clients to advocating for our client at Court to ensure maximum costs recovery.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

- 6 months paid training placement within our Training Academy

- Gaining work experience with technical training for your career with us

- Upon successful completion of the training programme graduate into permanent legal role within our teams

- Preparing Statement of Costs, Bill of Costs for assessment

- Preparing advice to our Solicitor clients on costs issues

- Negotiations

Education and Experience:

• 2.2 achieved in Degree of any discipline.

• Law, Business or Accounting degree desirable but not essential 

Additional Information

- Birthday Day off

- 8 hours ME time (once passed 3-month probationary period)

- Office Closure during Christmas period
