The Innovation team work with some of the biggest consumer goods manufacturers, leading tech and finance brands to shape and underpin their product development and marketing decisions. Using data, we enable our clients to innovate and build their product portfolio for success by:

  • optimising their ideas,
  • refining their products
  • exploring packaging function and design
  • providing recommendations to maximise sales.

Our experts provide quantitative research using engaging new digital tools and harnessing AI, as well as advanced modelling and forecasting techniques. Our job is to be bold and creative; using our imagination and the data to inspire clients by bringing life to the world in which their brands operate to help them develop unique & relevant products.


We are looking to grow our talented team of product innovation research specialists and are looking for graduates from any degree discipline to join us and embrace a career in research. You will learn about the true impact of our research and how it influences our clients, appreciating their commercial imperatives and organisational challenges.

 

The Role

As a Graduate Research Executive, you’ll start with a tailored induction programme specifically introducing you to Product Innovation research and will be encouraged to take responsibility from the outset – working on live commercial projects.

You will have a real impact on client business decisions, working with data to create insight led findings and storytelling the opportunities that exist. The role will also allow you to work on relatable brands, products and services that have an impact on your everyday life.

You’ll also be a part of the wider Generation Ipsos Graduate Programme, a chance to meet graduates across the company and gain a comprehensive foundation in research with practical application in a commercial environment.

Supported by your manager & team, you will:

  • Develop your research knowledge and methodologies including use of Generative AI
  • Develop skills covering all aspects of new product development and consumer marketing
  • Be part of a team designing and delivering research projects from inception to delivery
  • Be involved: from checking data files and tables, to analysing open ended response to frame rich consumer insights
  • Get the opportunity to work in different teams across a variety of clients and sectors for broad exposure to this exciting area
  • Quality check key deliverables, ensuring they are delivered accurately and to the highest standards
  • Prepare, plan, prioritise and communicate effectively to ensure deliverables are sent to schedule

 

About You

  • A natural curiosity about the world we live in and an intrigue for human behaviour
  • A passion for products and brands with an openness and motivation to get stuck in to understanding what people buy and how they use products across a wide range of categories (from laundry products to financial services, tobacco to tech)
  • A drive to not just deliver facts (the what), but to question and interpret those facts into the “so what” and the “now what”
  • The ability to work creatively and think commercially
  • Thrive in a team environment working collaboratively with colleagues to delight clients
  • Strong attention to detail and a deep interest in analysing and exploring data
  • Strong interpersonal skills – the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively working with many people and cultures
  • Great organisational skills and the ability to manage projects efficiently and effectively, utilising MS tools

Those who are successful at the application stage will be progressed to a virtual interview. The final stage will be an assessment centre held at our Thomas More Square Office (London) in May.
