Consultant, Capital Allowances Tax Analysis - Hybrid

The Consultant, Capital Allowances Tax Analysis, is responsible for analyzing and qualifying capital expenditure relating to the purchase, construction, and refurbishment of commercial properties. In addition, the postholder will prepare Capital Allowances Valuation Reports (CAVR) for submission to HMRC, and ensure the reports are prepared following HMRC guidelines and to year-end deadlines.

Consultants liaise with clients and their accountants to resolve queries, to ensure prompt submission and delivery. They thoroughly document activity on the Customer Management System (CMS) and update spreadsheets to ensure accurate record keeping. They also act as an advisor to Consultants within the team.

Client

Providing first-class customer service to clients at all stages of their claims.
Liaising with clients & their accountants to resolve queries, and ensure prompt submission and delivery.
Thoroughly documenting activity on the customer management system (CMS) and updating spreadsheets to ensure accurate record keeping.

Value

Working towards agreed daily, weekly, and monthly individual/ team targets to meet the annual Company revenue target
Acting as the main contact for high-value, repeat clients and key agents
Support the Team Manager by delivering training to Consultants, new starters, and Agents/Introducers as required
Ensuring awareness of changes in legislation, opportunities, and threats that may affect the firm.

Education And Experience
Interest in the tax or financial services industry.
Professional qualification in AAT or ATT is desirable.
Uses technical knowledge and understanding of Capital Allowances to deliver an exceptional service to clients and to support the other Consultants as they develop.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage ambiguity, and thrive in an environment of growth and change.
Demonstrates punctuality, dependability, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Excellent knowledge of HMRC legislation and guidelines applicable to the service (training will be provided).
Focuses on the outcomes to be achieved, working quickly and accurately and seeking guidance when appropriate.
Acts on own initiative to find solutions, showing a strong work ethic and demonstrating extra effort when required.
Is keen to learn; proactively responding to feedback, learning from experience, and developing own professional skills and knowledge.
