Robotic Welder Process Engineer

Some experience or education in using a 3D CAD package (preferably - but not limited to AutoCAD Inventor) is essential when applying for this role - equal to this in our search for new employees is a candidate who; shows a willingness to learn new skills; contributes and will speak up if they see areas for improvement within our organisation; wants ownership of their involvement in a project. We have a history for supplying quality products followed by the customer service to back them up in all areas in which we operate. 

We don't expect you the have experience with all of the different materials, processes and areas of design that we are involved in, but we are looking for people that will take the chance to gain knowledge and experience when the opportunity arises.

The successful candidate will be responsible for; taking a front line role in designing Jigs and processes for use in our new large 9 meter robotic welder;  offline programming of the robot using AI enabled software; transitioning components from being manually welded parts to robotically welded - ensuring manufacture is as efficient as possible; planning of robot time / scheduling of parts to be welded on the robot; being a major route of communication between the design team and the robot welder and operator, informing the design team of changes that could be implemented to make manufacturing of parts on the robot welder possible or smoother. A hands-on approach in the office and in the workshop is essential for this roll with a willingness to be involved with all aspects of running the robot welder. 

The role is fluid and will expand and adapt around you taking into account your skills, interests and areas where aptitude and flair is demonstrated.  

This is a full-time permanent position located at our office just North of York, 33 days paid holiday per year including bank holidays, pay is subject to ongoing review.
