Job Opportunity – Financial Data Analyst

VenCap is focused on investing in top-tier venture capital funds, in the US, Europe, China and India markets, and have offered investors early exposure to many of the most significant companies that have been formed in the last 30 years – including Google, Facebook, Airbnb and Snapchat.

Role Description

This is a permanent position which is suited to a candidate who is looking for accounting and data management experience and is interested in helping VenCap utilise their data to make better decisions. Key responsibilities include:

• Data entry, reconciliation and monitoring of VenCap funds’ cashflows, distributions and investment valuations.
• Maintain and develop reports in MS Power BI and also Excel, including monitoring fund liabilities and preparation of quarterly regulatory statistics.
• Liaise with all departments during reporting cycles to achieve regulatory deadlines.
• Aid all staff members with their requests by extracting data to solve queries.
• Opportunity to be involved with the company’s AI strategy and take responsibility for projects from an early stage.
• Help provide support for the data team with development and monitoring databases (for example, Access, SQL Express, SQL Azure).

The Company offers a competitive package, with a starting salary of £25k-£30k, depending on the experience and skills of the successful candidate.  We expect the Financial Data Analyst to work on-site at our Oxford office most of the time.

VenCap is rapidly expanding and is currently looking for someone to join our team who can hit the ground running, so prior knowledge of Power BI and databases would be a bonus; however, not essential as full training would be provided.
