Resident Graduate for Prep

Bryanston has an exceptional opportunity for an enthusiastic graduate to be Resident in our Prep School boarding house and to assist in the classroom from September 2024.

This one-year appointment would suit a graduate interested in gaining practical experience in a leading boarding school environment. The role is varied, and will be adjusted to suit the successful candidate but with a key focus on our wider co-curricular provision as well as assisting pastorally and academically.

There is a vibrant community of staff living on site, many of whom also undertake residential boarding house duties with accommodation provided.  Full induction and support will be available, and although this is an appointment for one academic year in the first instance, there may be an opportunity for the right candidate to have their employment extended as part of our in-post PGCE teacher training programme, in due course.

Bryanston offers a competitive package including free accommodation, utilities, meals and gym membership in a fantastic working environment.

Closing date for applications: Sunday, 12 May 2024

Bryanston is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are "spent" unless they are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
