Associate Project Leader

yet2 is seeking a highly motivated, recent science or engineering graduate to join our open innovation consulting team as an Associate Project Leader. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the identification and implementation of cutting-edge solutions through technology research, analysis, and strategic partnerships, working with yet2 Project Leaders and Innovation Managers to deliver technology scouting projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Technology Research and Scouting: Conduct in-depth research to identify emerging technologies, trends, and solutions relevant to our clients' needs.
  • Strong academic background in a STEM field such as life sciences, physical sciences, or engineering is essential.
  • Report Writing: Prepare comprehensive reports that distil complex technical information into clear and concise insights, enabling informed decision-making.
  • Client Presentations: Effectively communicate technical concepts and findings to clients through engaging presentations.
  • Technology Provider Interviews: Conduct interviews with potential technology providers, thoroughly evaluating their offerings and fit for client requirements.
  • Client-Provider Introductions: Facilitate introductions between clients and suitable solution providers, paving the way for successful partnerships and collaborations.
  • Deal and Partnership Support: Provide ongoing support throughout the conversion process, ensuring smooth transitions and successful outcomes.

Key Requirements:

  • Strong academic background in a STEM field such as life sciences, physical sciences, or engineering.
  • Enthusiasm for technology and innovation, and the ability to quickly understand and analyse complex technical information beyond your core area of expertise.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to break down technical concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Collaborative mindset and proven ability to work effectively in team settings.
  • Strong report writing and presentation skills.
  • Fluent conversational and technical English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A second language and/or data science experience would be a plus.

What We Offer: 

  • Salary: £26,000 – £29,000
  • 21 days annual leave per year, plus bank holidays (Increasing by 1 day for every year worked to a max of 25 days)
