Graduate Electronic Data Analyst

If so, you’ll be interested in the opportunity to join this team as a Electronic Data Analyst applying and developing software systems and techniques for analysing data from marine data recorders.
This company are a world leading supplier of cutting-edge systems and services for the analysis of data from “black box” recorders they are looking for a dynamic graduate to join their successful team as a Electronic Data Analyst.
The role will mainly involve extracting and processing data so that it can be analysed using their own bespoke marine incident software and a SaaS which provides lawyers, insurers, consultants and shipping companies with web-based analysis of their data. You will then liaise with the customers to ensure that the required form of analysis is performed.
There will also be opportunities to get involved with the research, specification, development and testing of the highly innovative analysis software and systems, and the training and support of customers in the use of our software and systems.
About you
You will be a motivated graduate, with:
- An eye for detail
- A degree - preferably in an engineering, technical, scientific, or software/computing-related subject,
- although other disciplines may be considered (subject to having passed “A” level Maths).
- A high degree of computer literacy
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong Excel Skills
- Experience of MATLAB
An interest in, or experience of, any of the following would also be beneficial:
- Marine Navigation, Electronics, or other Maritime/Naval experience
- Signal processing (vibration, acoustic or video)
- Software Design and Development
- Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
- Forensic data analysis
