We a looking for Graduate Site & Project Managers to embark on a career with us starting in Summer 2024. You will be given the opportunity to learn about the wider business and spend time developing your knowledge and skills through our Paye Passport Programme and ongoing training relevant to your role.
Graduate Site & ProjectManagers will work under the supervision of the Contract or Project Manager on site a to carry out and complete a range of tasks and develop on the job skills required to manage construction works through to completion, ensuring that Programme, Quality and Cost targets are achieved in accordance with the construction programme, through the effective management of a Site team and Sub-contractors.
Typical duties and responsibilities include:
• Attending internal handover meeting on receipt of order to develop knowledge of scope and specification of the works to be completed.
• Assisting with developing and maintain H&S documentation for the works to be completed (DABS, Daily user checks etc).
• Completing weekly audits of site conditions and record findings on Mirashare system.
• Assisting with preparing and presenting site inductions, safety briefings and toolbox talks.
• Ensuring project team compliance with H&S processes and raise safety concerns at appropriate level.
• Assisting with sub-contractor/ supplier/ consultant procurement alongside PM/ CM.
• Assisting with management and monitoring of subcontractor, suppliers and consultants and report any concerns that might negatively impact the
projected cost and time estimates.
• Assisting with developing programme of works and monitor and report progress throughout duration of works.
• Attending site meetings
• Assisting with developing quality plan/ ITP and manage on site QA processes including the issuing of samples, technical submittals and handovers.
• Maintaining site records/ diaries.
• Resolving problems and implement improvements.
• Proficient IT skills including Microsoft products, such as Microsoft Project, Excel, Word
We are looking for:
• Recent or Final Year of Bachelor’s degree Construction Management or Civil Engineering or similar
• Ability to understand timeframes and work to specified durations.
• Need to take a proactive and positive approach to all tasks and safety on site.
• Great Organisational skills
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Decision making skills.
• Proficient IT skills including Microsoft products, such as Microsoft Project, Excel, Word
We offer:
• Starting salary of £30k per annum
• £300 travelcard allowance (capped)
