Junior Product Safety Manager (all genders) - maternity cover

THE ROLE & THE TEAM
Zalando’s Product Quality and Safety department is looking for a Junior Product Manager to help us become the Starting Point for Fashion while creating an experience of trust for our customers and ensuring products offered on our website are compliant with European legislation and safe at all times.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

  • You will be part of a high performing team of experts, required to work with vigor, agility and open mind while excelling in handling product safety matters. 
  • You’ll liaise with a wide range of internal & external stakeholders while responsible for executing established monitoring of customer complaints & incident management processes. 
  • You’ll maintain standard operating procedure documentation, conduct investigations, coordinate testing, inhouse external testing and inhouse spot check reviews to ensure only safe products are offered on Zalando website. 
  • You’ll monitor and actively track your process performance, defined KPI while proactively addressing any non-conformities identified and implementing improvements under Senior guidance. 
  • You’ll support the continuous improvement compliance initiatives for your area of responsibility to ensure a robust standard process.

 

WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

  • You have a working knowledge and good grasp on the EU legal requirements applicable to Zalando product range: General Product Safety Directive, REACh Directive (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals), RoHS Directive, (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) or Toys Safety Directive. 
  • You understand product lifecycle, consistently demonstrate strong analytical, planning and problem solving skills with the declared intention to drive prevention & improvement initiatives. 
  • You are curious to develop regulatory and technical knowledge for additional product categories or markets. 
  • You have excellent stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills in both written and spoken English. 
  • You are a proficient user of Gsuite, MSOffice (Excel, PowerPoint, MS Word), project management applications.
