Wedding and Events Coordinator

The impact you’ll make 

When the guest walks through the door, imagine the look on their face when they take that first look around, all the planning has been executed down to the smallest detail.  You’ll help deliver the warmest welcomes and most memorable events that keep them coming back again and again. 

You’ll make suggestions to create the most unique events that stand out from any others and ensure its unique and one of a kind.

 

What you’ll do 

  • Respond to all wedding and event enquires across various channels 
  • Conduct show rounds and use suggestive selling to maximise revenue
  • Build strong relationships with clients to ensure a seamless event  
  • Prepare sales-related documents, including proposals, contracts and banquet event orders
  • Put together information packages, brochures and other promotional materials
  • Arrange, support and promote events such as wedding fairs
  • Be a point of contact for clients and guests, responding to questions about hotel facilities and services
  • Ability to execute against an agreed event and group strategy
  • Effectively manages bedrooms blocks and meeting space inventory for assigned groups.

  • Experience in wedding, meeting and event management 
  • Knowledge of software applications and hotel systems including SFA, OPERA desirable

With this role you will be working 40 hours per week over 5 days, predominately Monday – Friday day shifts although there may be the need to cover weekends or evenings for show rounds or to welcome your Clients for their event, after all you wouldn’t miss out seeing the smile on their face after all of your planning.
