Front End Developer

Holiwise is excited to announce an opportunity for a talented Front End Developer to join our fast-growing team. This is an opportunity to work closely with the founding team, in an environment that will provide you with significant growth and leadership opportunities as the company scales. Your ideas and solutions will have a tangible impact towards our vision of revolutionising the travel industry.

The founding team consists of well-connected business professionals with backgrounds in Investment Banking, and an experienced CTO with a proven track record in tech innovation.

We are partnering with a team of investors and industry professionals, including a trusted advisor with over 40 years of experience and various senior leadership positions in the travel industry.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with back-end developers to architect and troubleshoot robust solutions
- Develop highly responsive user interface components using React concepts
- Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code
- Optimise components for maximum performance across a range of devices and browsers
- Engage with users to get feedback and improve the product

What we are looking for:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, information systems or a related field
- Strong work ethic and attitude
- Exceptional teamwork, communication and analytical skills
- "Always want to learn" attitude towards technology; we encourage innovation, learning, and contributions
- Strong understanding of SEO principles
- Proficient in React, NodeJS, NextJS, Firebase, Tailwind CSS
- Familiar with GCP, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines; comparable tooling experience also -considered
- Strong understanding of optimisation techniques for performance, scalability, along with - good profiling and debugging skills
- Well-versed in integrating with RESTful and Streaming APIs
- Proficiency in Python is preferred
- Past experience working in a startup environment is ideal, but not necessary
