Job summary

 

We are seeking to recruit an energetic, flexible and enthusiastic practitioner in the Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team based at The Redwoods Centre in Shrewsbury. The successful candidate will join the team in providing 24 hour rapid response and assessment of mental health crisis in the community, with the possibility of offering acute psychiatric care at service user's homes or other community facilities, until the crisis is resolved. The team covers the geographical area of Shropshire and is based close to the inpatient facility.

MPFT will offer a welcome bonus of 10% of first year salary- at 50% on commencement of employment and 50% following 12 months employment.

 

Main duties of the job

 

  • Working in an identified adult community mental health pathway, with the flexibility ofworking across pathways, dependent on skill and service need.
  • Delivering a high quality clinical service to patients and their families.
  • Care coordination of an identified caseload with access to regular and robust
  • Delivering occupational therapy interventions, in accordance with an agreed careplan, to an identified group of people experiencing mental health related difficulties.
  • Communication skills are an integral part of the role. Written and verbal skills will be vital in ensuring that information is documented, shared and recorded in an accurate and prompt manner.
  • It is essential that you possess the skills to work as part of a team and have the confidence to work autonomously. You should possess the skills and enthusiasm to take on the challenge of a changing, modern day community mental health service.
  • Having proficient IT skills and being a car driver are essential.

  • Be a Registered Mental-health Nurse as defined by the Nursing and Midwifery Council and be active on their register.
