Night Manager

The primary focus of the role is to be the property Manager on Duty and direct all property operations during the overnight shift. Ensure that the highest levels of hospitality and service are provided during the overnight shift. Represents property management in resolving any guest or property related situation. Personally, assisting in resolving any issues and completing tasks.

Experience:

  • · Previous Front Office experience essential.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

Monitoring Property Operations

  • Monitors and ensures compliance with all Guidelines to Operations.
  • Ensures all employees are in proper uniform and are properly groomed (grooming standards in employee handbook).
  • Manages all period-end inventories.
  • Directs, monitors, and assists all overnight staff.
  • Ensures guest tracking scores and employee opinion survey goals are achieved.

Finance

  • To establish a guest account upon registration, as per Hotel and Company policies, for direct billing, credit card and cash payment.
  • To be fully aware of all third-party payment restrictions, as per procedures.
  • To fully understand, and comply with, Hotel Company cashiering procedures.
  • To audit and balance each day’s shift, prepare daily banking, and report any discrepancies.
  • To complete and understand the Credit Limit Reports and ensure that appropriate action is taken.

Security

  • To maintain security of all Hotel assets, and to report any loss or damage to the Shift Leader.
  • To comply with the Data Protection Act regarding the disclosure of information
  • To complete security patrols of the property each shift throughout the night as per the checklist.

Managing and Conducting Human Resources Activities

  • Ensure associate shifts are rostered & recorded on Kronos workforce management, ensure daily/weekly checks are performed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure the Oracle system is maintained with regards to holidays/sickness and other absences.
  • Ensure appropriate training is delivered to the team i.e. H&S, Marriott training & discipline specific.
