Marketing & Communications Assistant

The Marketing & Communications Assistant will be responsible for supporting on the delivery of nfpResearch’s website, newsletter, social media outputs, and marketing campaigns. Working closely with the Marketing Coordinator and research teams, they will aid in coordinating our marketing schedule by contributing to content creation, helping to manage nfpResearch’s website and social media channels, and engaging in outreach to charities.

The Marketing & Communications Assistant will also assist in the organisation of promotional events and webinars for clients and the wider sector. Building relationships with external stakeholders to complement our marketing efforts will also be an important aspect of the role, with the successful candidate expected to aid in outreach to the public and media.

This post would be ideally suited to a graduate or someone early in their marketing career who is looking to develop their skillset and experience and see their ideas implemented in our marketing strategy. The role offers the chance to contribute to a proactive marketing plan and help develop and drive it forward.

nfpResearch is based in Spitalfields, near Liverpool Street. We adopt a flexible working environment, enabling staff to work both at home and in the office. We require one day a month in the office at least, though the successful candidate may be expected to work in-office on additional days throughout the year for training or events, etc. nfpResearch operates a 100-90-100 working policy. You will receive 100% of the listed remuneration for working 90% of required hours, provided 100% of your work-load is met. This means you can flexibly choose to take a half-day every week, or a day off every two weeks.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Support on the day-to-day development and delivery of a marketing strategy, working collaboratively with your line manager and research teams.
  • Assistance in the scheduling and delivery of a weekly blog by supporting management and research teams.
  • Writing, editing, and distributing original content including newsletters, eye-catching social media posts, and event copy, communicating nfpResearch’s research, activities, products, and services.
  • Monitoring social media and other relevant information outlets for key events, topics of discussion and trends within the UK third sector.
  • Report on marketing campaigns and the performance of different promotional channels (e.g. Website visits and downloads, newsletter, social media).
  • Updating nfpResearch’s marketing collateral and website.
  • Understanding brand guidelines and consistently implementing the brand voice across all channels and marketing materials.
  • Liaising and acting as a primary point of contact with external stakeholders (e.g. graphic designer, journalists, website developer).
  • Working closely with management and research teams to organise promotional events and webinars.
