Event Assistant

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 37 hours - Various, includes early mornings, evenings and weekends during events

Worker Type: Hybrid Worker

Salary: Starting Salary is £24,702 (Level one) rising to £25,545 (Level three) per annum (pro-rata for part-time)

Location: Loxley House, Station Street, Nottingham NG2 3NG

We are seeking an Event Assistant who is looking to further their career in event and venue management. You will be part of a small agile team that conceptualise, develop and produce our commissioned programme of events including Goose Fair, Nottingham Light Night and Riverside Festival. We also provide client liaison and venue management support to around 200 events each year from music festivals and brand activations to major sports events and community celebrations all making use of our fantastic range of public realm and greenfield venues.

About the Role

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Some experience of major event planning, on-site delivery and venue management ideally gained within outdoor events entertainment or an events venue
  • A qualification in events management with a desire to work in the events industry
  • Experience in undertaking administrative and finance functions within a busy working environment
  • Experience in taking responsibility and the ability to manage conflicting and competing deadlines
