Business Development Executive - Industrial

We are keen to welcome aboard a Business Development Executive – Industrial in our Business Development division.  

 

We welcome applications from candidates with outstanding sales and business development achievements, expertise, network or interest especially with Connectors within the Industrial sector.

 

Responsibilities: 

  

The BDE would be responsible for driving business development within the UK & European Union with focus within the Industrial sector for one of our global Clients who are a renowned player within the Electronics sector including:

·       Deep dive study & understanding of assigned Client accounts, business models, products, GTM strategies, target markets, USPs, and organisational culture. 

·       Sales and Lead Generation:

o   Implement multi-channel outreach strategies for extensive market coverage.

o   Identify and engage industrial OEMs, integrators and assemblers with intricate connector requirements.

o   Demonstrate the ability to solve customer challenges through technical discussions within Industrial market applications, such as: industrial automation, robotics, datacom/telecom, healthcare, transportation, electrical tools, sensors, etc.

o   Involve Client team as appropriate in complex design or technical discussions/workshops.

o   Actively participate in industry association and networking events.

o   Attend key Expos and Conferences in the Industrial sectors.

·       Contract Negotiation and Key Account Management:

o   Skilfully negotiate contracts with clients, prospects, and partners.

o   Cultivate multi-tier relationships within key accounts to fortify engagement.

o   Utilize a CRM system for meticulous tracking of customer interactions and sales opportunities.

·       Distributor Partnerships and Enhancement:

o   Cultivate relationships with industrial connector distributors, initiating and negotiating successful contracts.

o   Provide comprehensive product training, support, and share industry insights.

o   Develop enticing pricing programs and collaborate on joint marketing campaigns with distributors.

·       Strategic Partnerships:

o   Engage potential partners for joint product development.

o   Establish clear partnership goals, delineate roles, and provide crucial support to Client project teams for effective market liaison if necessary.

·       Stakeholder Collaboration, Monitoring and Evaluation:

o   Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

o   Diligently monitor sales performance, identifying areas for improvement.

o   Adapt strategies in response to market dynamics, competitive threats, and evolving customer preferences.

o   Provide weekly & monthly reports.

o   Meet & exceed monthly KPIs.

 

Who We Are Looking For: 

 

·       Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering a minimum. Masters degree preferred or a strong technical background in a related field.

·       Proven experience in business development within the industrial connector/interconnect industry, with a focus on OEM salesand distributor partnerships.

·       Expertise and deep understanding of industrial automation, PLC equipment, electrical equipment, and robotics applications.

·       Demonstrated success in expanding market share and achieving revenue targets.

·       Established network of contacts within the Connector industry and broader Industrial and Electronics sectors.

·       Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

·       German language advantageous but not essential.

·       Ability to travel internationally as required. 

·       Must hold a valid UK/EU Driving License. 

·       Must be authorized to live and work in the UK.
