YOUR ROLE

  • As part of the Application Engineering team in Duesseldorf, Germany, you will support new and existing businesses with your technical expertise, facilitating communication between clients and Henkel's R&D departments
  • Develop and implement data-driven methods for optimizing pilot-scale manufacturing processes in R&D, analyzing sensor data and other process parameters to identify areas for improvement
  • Design and conduct experiments to validate data-driven insights for process optimization, collaborating with product developers and engineers to translate data analysis into actionable process improvements
  • Contribute to developing and validating digital twins
  • Engage in projects during your rotation, working on lab-, customer-, and business-related tasks and contributing to future trends in digitalization, sustainability, and innovation
  • Support the digital transformation of R&D by implementing data-driven workflows for process development and knowledge management

YOUR SKILLS

  • You have recently completed or are about to complete a Master’s or Ph.D. in an engineering-related discipline, such as Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Application Engineering, Physical Engineering, Applied Physics, or any engineering hybrid studies that excite you and make you passionate about innovating for a sustainable future
  • You have experience in process development or optimization, focusing on data-driven approaches, and a strong understanding of chemical reaction engineering, mass transfer, and process control principles
  • You are proficient in data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R) and the design of experiment tools such as Minitab and JMP, and you have experience with data visualization tools like Excel, Power BI, or Tableau
  • Ideally, you bring knowledge or experience in advanced technologies such as IoT, finite element analysis (FEA), and computational fluid dynamics (CFD)
  • You are highly motivated, a team player, and eager to achieve entrepreneurial goals
  • Customer satisfaction is key to you; you understand the importance of building strong relationships with stakeholders and are ready to offer creative solutions
  • You are open to relocation and embracing new challenges, with a willingness to explore diverse post-program career opportunities across our global Innovation network
  • Proficiency in English is essential, as you will collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds

The program starts on November 1, 2024, at our Inspiration Center in Duesseldorf, Germany. We provide full relocation support to ensure a smooth transition. Upon completing the program after 18 months, you are encouraged to explore exciting career opportunities at Henkel’s global locations, e.g., Ireland, USA, India, China, and many more.
