As part of our team, you'll deliver engaging face-to-face classes in Hong Kong, inspiring upper-secondary students to love learning and excel. Additionally, you'll contribute to our Publishing team, editing the stories, textbooks and workbooks created to help students learn English as an Additional Language. Responsibilities

Based in Hong Kong, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering engaging face-to-face lessons. primarily focused on upper secondary students. Our curriculum emphasizes critical thinking, problem-solving, and exam preparation for qualifications such as IGCSE and IB. While our English department is the core of our operations, we welcome tutors with expertise in Maths, Science, Languages, or other specialist subjects to contribute to our holistic student development.

You will be required to provide individualised support to students of varying ages and abilities, teach a wide range of materials and provide students with constructive feedback. 

Your work on the publishing team will require a strong eye for detail, and you will be responsible for creating content, editing it, liaising with the design team and preparing books for print. Many of our publications are integrated into eLearning platforms, so you will have ongoing responsibility post-publication to work with the tech and marketing teams on this content.

Job Requirements

Essential

  • Experience teaching or tutoring
  • Experience helping students prepare for national examinations, such as GCSE, A Level, IB and other international examinations (e.g. IELTS) preferred
  • A passion for teaching
  • Confidence teaching a wide variety of materials, including literature (a degree in literature is not required)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • University degree
  • Fluent English

Desirable

  • Experience with writing and/or publishing
  • Professional experience of university admissions
