Customer Solutions Engineer

Acre is rebuilding the UK’s £1.4 trillion mortgage market from the ground up, with a completely new, end-to-end management system for mortgages.

 

Our platform cuts out the unnecessary admin, pain and friction from buying a home. We're covering the entire journey, from figuring out what you can borrow, to getting your keys. We're guided both by the voice of real home buyers and by our close relationships with brokers, lenders and insurers.

 

Following a hugely successful 2023, where we proudly facilitated over £10 billion in mortgages for over 100,000 homebuyers, we are continuing to onboard some huge names in the mortgage industry and are looking to expand our team.

 

 

The Role

 

As a Customer Solutions Engineer, you’ll work with Acre’s Customer Success Team to help advanced users of the Acre platform use and build upon our Enterprise functionality.

 

You’ll develop a deep understanding of the Acre Platform, the Acre Data model and API to enable you to advise both Customer and our internal team on how best to extend the functionality of the platform.

 

The role will involve a breadth of business and technical assistance. In some instances, you’ll be providing advice on process best practice, and in others you will be writing code; helping our customers build custom integrations using the Acre API and understand data available to them through our Enterprise data feeds.

 

The role is ideal for a technically minded individual who also wants variety in their role and a high degree of customer interaction.

 

The role will require collaborating with a variety of stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Design, Customer Success, Sales, and Senior Management, to understand the business’ technological needs, balance priorities, and ship the right products and features to the market.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Become the Product Expert and Specialist on the core Acre platform who can discuss advanced features of the product with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Understand, map, and adapt customer business processes onto the Acre platform
  • Promote best practice with Acre users
  • Advise and guide Sales and Account Management teams on how to meet customers’ needs in the most efficient and cost-effective manner
  • Create prototype and starter application code to bootstrap customer integrations
  • Support our broader customer facing teams in enhancing their understanding of the Acre platform and best practice
  • Create customer documentation. training and enablement content for the Acre API and Enterprise Reporting functionalities.

 

About you:

  • Software Engineering experience from either degree level education or previous employment
  • Willingness and ability to adapt to an ever-changing workload
  • A natural confidence with data analysis and manipulation
  • Desire to learn and demonstrate sales and relationship management best practice
  • Enjoys building and maintaining relationships with clients and other business partners
  • Ability to work with and communicate with a range of individuals, with a range of technical abilities and at all levels of seniority.
