Occupational Health Technician

Wellness International Ltd has an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Health Technician to join their team. This opportunity is also open for anyone who might be interested in a career change.

This is a field-based role that requires extensive travel throughout the year. This role includes overnight stays and working away from home, for up to 4 nights a week. 
To support the successful candidate, they will be provided with a fully maintained and insured company car for both work and personal use. All hotel arrangements will be made and paid for by the bookings team. 

You will need to be a ‘self-starter’, capable of working under your own initiative with appropriate guidance and direction. You will need to be organised and have good time management skills. The ideal candidate will complement the current WI Ltd. team in delivering fitness to work medicals to include blood pressure, spirometry, audiometry, vision, phlebotomy, & urinalysis to a high standard to meet the needs of our customers.

Experience in healthcare would be desirable but is not essential as all training is provided.

Essential requirements

• Over the age of 21, with a minimum of 3-years driving experience
• Valid UK Driving License
• Able to complete overnight stays throughout the UK (overnight stays up to 4 nights Monday – Friday depending on client requirements)
• Applicants based in the Northwest or willing to relocate
• IT literate.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to relate to a wide range of clients.
• Excellent communication skills and customer service.
• Experience and/or willingness to drive large medical vans 

Desirable

• Training in occupational health and well-being, sports & exercise science, exercise physiology, nutrition, social care, or graduates in other related disciplines
• Industrial Spirometry Qualification
• Industrial Audiometry Qualification
• Phlebotomy / Venepuncture
• First Aid Trained
