Rock Power specialises in delivering large-scale electrical infrastructure, including EV charging networks and high-voltage systems. We work with businesses, industries, and public utilities to provide cutting-edge electrical engineering solutions up to 132kV. Custom Solar leads the solar energy market, developing and installing projects for some of the UK’s most recognisable brands, including the largest rooftop solar installation in the country. 

About the Role 

As a Graduate Electrical Engineer, you will: 

Work with Rock Power on the design and build of advanced electrical infrastructure, from EV charging networks to high-voltage systems for business and industry. You’ll be involved in creating technical designs, including layouts, tender documents, and construction drawings, helping to power the future of the UK's energy system. 

Work with Custom Solar on the development and installation of large-scale solar energy projects, like the UK’s largest rooftop solar installation. You’ll be involved in everything from project concept to delivery, gaining exposure to commercial, finance, and construction functions. 

You will be joining our 24-month graduate programme with a tailored development pathway to support you as you develop a wide range of leadership, business and technical skills. Throughout your programme, you will have access to development sessions to equip you with the essential skills required to begin your career at Mitie. 

Alongside your line manager support, you will have access to a buddy and mentor to help you transition into your new role and support your career journey with options to pursue further qualifications such as Chartership or apprenticeships! 

What We Are Looking For 

We’re seeking motivated, forward-thinking graduates who are ready to launch their careers in a dynamic and future-focused industry. We want to identify candidates with potential, so we keep our list of requirements a minimum of: 

You’ll need to have achieved a minimum of a 2:2 in Electrical Engineering, or an Engineering discipline with an electrical focus. 

You’ll need flexibility to travel within your role, so a valid UK driving licence would be preferred. 

Candidates must be able to demonstrate that they will have the legal right to work in the UK for the duration of the graduate programme.
