Hunter Bond - Platform Engineer - Junior & Senior : London Trading Firm : £80-150k

Elite financial trading firm based in London are currently seeking a host of platform engineering experts of all levels (1 year post graduate through to 20+ years experience) to join it's growing platforms team.

Our client is one of the fastest growing financial technology companies with a strong culture of progression and treating their engineering staff as their most important assets.

 

Our client seeks Platform Engineer with specific bias towards either services, applications, compute and storage, databases, dev tools, observability, schedulers and orchestrators, and middleware.

They ideally seek on-prem Linux systems skills combined with a good understanding of some cloud based high-performance infrastructure. As part of the System Engineering team, you work on building and supporting scalable, reliable, and performant systems.

Some of the experience you might have:

  • Linux systems and platform engineering (on-prem)
  • Hardware optimisation, network and storage performance
  • DevOps tooling - Terraform/Ansible, CI/CD, Gitlab, Jenkins, Salt, Chef, Git
  • Kubernetes
  • Databases - PostgreSQL, Clickhouse, FoundationDB
  • Observability - VictoriaMetrcics, Prometheus, Vector, ELK
  • Slurm
  • Solarflare, Mellanox
  • Python skills/scripting languages
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in a technical or computer science discipline
