ESB Engineering Graduate Programme

ESB invests heavily in its people and is looking to employ engineering graduates in GB to develop the critical skills needed to support the organisations future growth and development.
Our Engineering Graduates’ Programme, known as our Early Career Engineering Talent Programme, is aimed at STEM professionals with less than two years post-graduation experience.
The objective of our Programme is to launch you on a track to career success. You will grow professionally, develop key skills, and actively contribute to ESB’s Net Zero by 2040 strategy.
The programme can lead to a variety of opportunities. Initially you will work in our generation business in GB. During the programme you will work in our generation business and will have an opportunity to learn in a power station and our asset development department, specifically in an area focused on our drive to net zero. At the end of the development programme there will be opportunities within our wider business to contribute in the company’s objective to reach Net Zero.

Our bespoke Early Career Engineering Talent Programme includes:
Structured and timely learning and development through formal and on-the-job opportunities
Work assignments giving appropriate breath of learning to facilitate career progression
Performance targets set to challenge and develop you while you contribute to ESB’s strategy
Mentoring and career support to enable you to find the right career in the company
Social networking to develop peer supports and relationships across the whole of ESB

Location
Initially the greater Manchester area, but with opportunities across GB.
What We Look For?
You must have (or be working towards) a Degree in Engineering or a related field (min expected grade will be a 2:1)
Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced team environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent analytical skills combined with the ability to learn quickly and adapt to different challenges.
Flexibility regarding work location (for your development you may need to change work location during the programme)
Graduates who are up for a challenge.
Your CV should be no longer than 2 pages and clearly outline the following:
Details of all your academic qualifications including titles, institutions, years of commencement and (projected) completion, and results to date.
Your relevant university modules and projects
All work experience (not just engineering / related experience)
Any relevant extra-curricular activities or external interests / pursuits
