Student Opportunity: Disability Coaches (paid role)
Are you currently a University of Liverpool student, in any year of study?
Are you interested in working with fellow disabled students and supporting them to access all relevant UoL support? We have a highly exciting opportunity for current University of Liverpool students to work with our Disability Advice and Guidance team. The role will be campus based in the Student Life Building with some virtual delivery and work from home options.
Grade 2 - £12.60 per hour - flexible contract, 10 hours per week, term time only

The role:
This is an exciting, innovative, and award-winning post working within Student Services to provide peer-to-peer support to disabled students. The role holder will join the Disability Advice and Guidance team as part of our central Student Support offer. You will be given the opportunity to gain practical experience, by participating in key operational activities.
You will engage with students on a one-to-one basis and support University Services helping students access disability-related funding, inclusive software and guidance provision.
This opportunity is offered in the first instance to disabled students only, on a flexible 10 hours per week contract. The contract is fixed term, for a period of two years maximum, this is to ensure this valuable development opportunity is available to as many disabled students as possible. The role is designed to fit around your timetable, delivering a Disability Coach drop-in service within the hours of 11am-3pm Monday-Friday. However, there may be occasions when some flexibility required, and you will be expected to work outside of these core hours.

You must be available to attend a paid training programme, which may include dates outside of term time, delivered both remotely and on campus.
