STEM Women Ambassador

Become a STEM Women Ambassador

Are you passionate about studying science, tech, engineering or mathematics? Do you want to help address the gender imbalance in STEM? Are you interested in networking with inspirational STEM Women? You could be our next STEM Women Ambassador!

STEM Women introduce students and graduates to forward-thinking employers at our networking and recruitment events. We are proud to contribute to a more diverse and inclusive STEM workforce of the future and we’re on the lookout for students who can represent us on their university campus as STEM Women Ambassadors, promoting the STEM Women brand and signposting your fellow students to our recruitment events. You’ll need to be social-media-savvy with an active Tiktok account, and ready to think of creative ways to promote STEM Women events.

This could include:
-         Making social media content and videos (primarily focussed on TikTok and Instagram)
-         Engaging relevant societies to spread the word about STEM Women or asking lecturers or fellow students to share our events
-         Helping with on campus-branding such as putting up posters on campus

What do you get in return
-         Payment of £20 per tiktok video - with further activities, as approved, paid at £10 p/h, up to a maximum of 10 hours per week (during the run-up to events only)
-         A STEM Women Ambassador certificate to add to your LinkedIn profile
-         Your profile added to our STEM Women ambassadors webpage
-         You’ll develop useful skills to include on your CV
-         You’ll build your confidence on social media

Who we are looking for:
-         UK undergraduate or postgraduate students studying a STEM-relating subject, including finance-related courses
-         Able to demonstrate a passion for diversity and equality in STEM
-         Confident using Tiktok to create video content
Please note that activities are ad-hoc as required in the run-up to events and not regular weekly hours. Ideal to fit around your studies or existing commitments. Payments must be made to a UK bank account.
