Business Analyst

A Business Analyst (BA) at Deecon has a different role than at traditional consultancies. Traditional consultancies task their graduates solely with the collection and analysis of data and the production of slides. This is just part of a BA’s role at Deecon. We believe in our BAs and immediately provide them with far broader exposure.

Rather than simply producing analytics and reports for Senior Consultants to present, Deecon’s BAs are regularly given the opportunity to present to our clients, hold important roles in stakeholder management and input into the strategic direction of projects. In their first year, Deecon’s BAs typically work on projects involving research and strategy, procurement, transformation, commercial assurance and dispute resolution.

This provides unique exposure to a project’s full lifecycle which we believe is key to personal development and developing the skills required to provide value-added solutions to our clients’ challenges. This is supplemented by tailor-made training that is developed and run by Deecon’s in-house experts focusing on their areas of interest. This training, along with broad exposure, fast-tracks our BAs' development.

In addition to project work, our BAs are encouraged to challenge and improve existing ways of working for our clients and Deecon itself. This is underpinned by our commitment to having a supportive, open and collaborative culture. In recent years our internal systems have been transformed based on BAs’ recommendations and implementation. Our new internal systems have increased our efficiency, allowing us to deliver improved solutions both internally and for our clients. We expect our BAs to learn quickly and work effectively under pressure, however there is always a support structure in place to ensure that our BAs enjoy their work. BAs are assigned an employee with at least 1 years’ experience as a Mentor and are supported by a Senior Manager on their projects.
