Professional duties include review and analysis of published literature in the APPLIED PHYSICS, ENGINEERING PHYSICS, COMPUTER ENGINEERING, ELECTRICAL, ELECTRONIC OR MECHATRONIC ENGINEERING technical fields, identify key areas of consensus and differences from existing knowledge, and synthesize the differences in a concise, logically structured & clearly presented written analysis for attorney and client review. Candidates must enjoy writing and be unintimidated by the challenges of convincing a skeptical audience that a particular conclusion is valid in view of available, limited or ambiguous facts.

Candidates must be able to educate themselves on our clients’ cutting edge technologies quickly, and be prepared to explain or summarize them in written form. Candidates must possess excellent attention to detail and the ability to describe technology in a concise and vividly descriptive fashion. Successful candidates will work closely with clients & lawyers in support of international patent prosecution, litigation, licensing and counseling matters.

Candidates must possess Bachelor's degrees in APPLIED PHYSICS, ENGINEERING PHYSICS, COMPUTER, ELECTRICAL, ELECTRONIC OR TELECOMMUNICATION ENGINEERING. Masters or PhD degree holders are welcome to apply. You must be self motivated & possess flawless spoken & written English skills. Possess analytical and logical thought processes. Be organized and persistent. Proficiency in Japanese is NOT required.

Training in international patent law & practice will be provided. Employer will sponsor Japanese work visa. Competitive compensation and benefits commensurate with demonstrated merit. Annual home passage allowance. Housing and relocation costs to Osaka are reimbursed.
