Electro-Software Robotics Engineer

Position:         Electro-Software Robotics Engineer
Location:      Liverpool, Materials Innovation Factory (MIF)
Salary:           £30,000 - £40,000

Due to sustained growth, Labman are seeking to recruit a multi skilled Electro-Software Robotics Engineer to join our team in Liverpool.
 
Labman deliver bespoke robotics and software to major companies and public bodies all over the world. The job will be challenging and dynamic with opportunities to work with a huge range of established and emergent technologies, providing you with opportunities to learn and develop your skillset.
 
You will be working alongside a dedicated team of engineers at Labman’s office in Liverpool. It is a creative and innovative environment, full of the latest robotic systems and technology. There will be opportunities to travel, within the UK and worldwide.
 



What the Job Involves

 
·       Role based in Liverpool with some training and occasional visits to the HQ in North Yorkshire
·       Provide reactive fault diagnosis, repair and technical support
·       Maintain effective quality systems and programs compliant with ISO 9001 standard
·       Identify and enact business opportunities, upgrades, and improvement of client systems
·       Participate in continuous improvement meetings and activities and escalate processes and product quality gaps, providing solutions when possible
·       Build on Labman’s reputation by collaborating professionally with the client
·       Optimise own work schedule by coordinating with all the necessary parties for support planning/scheduling (support team, clients, project leaders, suppliers, etc.)
·       Log and document all work according to internal guidelines
·       Along with all the team, keeping abreast of state-of-the-art technologies and developing techniques for use in future systems

Essential Capabilities

 
·       Experience with object orientated programming
·       Electrical knowledge (basic electrical competence and safety standards. Knowledge of CE & UKCA)
·       Basic mechanical knowledge
·       Ability to identify issues, diagnose faults and provide relevant solutions
·       Work independently, take initiative and prioritise
·       Excellent organisational skills
·       Good English literacy skills for producing documentation
·       Works well within a team with effective communication



Desirable skills / experience

 
·       Knowledge of database design & principles – in particular MySQL
·       Experience working with Robotics/Automation
·       Experience working in an laboratory environment
·       C# experience
·       Driving license
