Graduate Tax and Treasury Accountant
Location: Hybrid working with some time in our Bradford office
Salary:  Starting at £34k per annum with incremental rises plus excellent benefits
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full time, 37.5 per week

Anchor now have a fabulous opportunity for a motivated, ambitious individual who is interested in beginning their career by qualifying as an ACCA accountant while playing an active role in the day to day working of the finance function.
We will support you every step of the way to be becoming qualified and as well as gaining work experience, you’ll benefit from study days, a competitive salary and enjoy the benefits that come with working for a big organisation! 

You’ll have real responsibility from day one, with close support from senior people to ensure you achieve success. As well as working in the tax and treasury sphere, you will be given exposure to all facets of the finance department, as well as the wider business, with opportunities to explore other areas including operations. You will also get involved project work and learn how to deal with/respond to tax queries from around the business. This is a small graduate programme, which allows you to tailor the programme to suit your interests. There are a number of colleagues currently studying or recently qualified to offer peer support within the finance function.

Below are some of the core skills you will be learning:
  • The tax compliance cycle for UK taxes
  • Treasury systems, reporting and management
  • Operating corporate finance systems
  • Advanced data analytics

Technical Knowledge / Skills Required:
  • Be educated to degree level in any discipline (2:1 and above desirable)
  • A desire to gain an accountancy qualification (ACCA)
  • An ability to make sense of large data sets
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to respond positively to constructive feedback
